Default An evo owners view on 'you people'

When i first came up here i noticed a group of people that drove around with their silly little white stickers on the windows of their car. Like they were better than everyone else because they had this little sticker, like it made them part of some little group that was just better than everyone else. Then i was asked (almost told by brian lol) to come and join the forums here. I'll be honest at first i was very skeptical of joining a forum filled with people who thought they were better than everyone else... and drove the competition.

A short while after joining i realized the weight of my misconceptions, despite driving the competition i was welcomed with open arms. Ive been to parties, get togethers, bbq's, drives and hosted photo shoots. I talk to many nasioc members daily, hang out with a few of you on a daily basis and come here first for help. When i had a question about my engine, it was one of you who did research and got the answer for me. When i had to leave the state for 4 months it was one of you who took care of my car when i was gone.

anyway... i guess i just felt like thanking everyone and also getting out my feelings towards this community.

when i go to get a new car in a few years it will most likely be a subaru... not because they are better than evo's... because i still dont think they are, but because of "you people". thank you everyone here... your great

The subie community is a huge bonus for sure, I've never met a community anything remotely close to this.

*Sigh* do you think its a bad time to tell him that we HAVE to have non-subaru driving members to meet the EQUAL OPPORTUNITY Member quota? sorry nix but we only like you because you drive a non subaru...if you drove a subaru, we would have to make you join another forum.....
