what mm do i need for the stock 02 wrx wheels to fit over the 4 pots.
or can i just do a 1" wheel adapter.
help....

5mm will certainly do it - you will need longer studs (the Eibach kit includes them)

3mm should just be enough - if you can find them

3MM "universal" wheel spacers can be found everywhere
(ebay, google search, etc)

I'm not condoning the use of spacers

But 3mm should? work and can be had easily.

is the wheel spacer just sloppy fit or just unsafe..
