Default Conclusion to my Ext. Warranty Cancellation

Before Christmas I was CC'd on a letter to my purchasing dealer. It explained that they were to cut me a check and get it to me.

A month later, I get a call from the dealer who said she went back and reread the letter. I had expected to see this check in the mail, but never thought much of it.

They wrote me a check and all is done-

but... this is what I found out and I didn't get all my money back.

I had the 100k warranty. I drove 17k miles before termination. I expected the full amount since I hadn't gone out of the 36k mile normal warranty.

I had driven 17% of the total warranty, so I got back only 83% back.

At this point... I was happy to get it since I started this process on the first of July.

If you had the warranty for more than 3 months before you cancel, then they will pro-rate the value of the warranty upon cancellation.

If not, use your bill of sale as proof, write a letter, and get your 17% back.

I cancelled my extended warranty, I am still waiting for payback after 1 month.
