Stuck clutch pedal in cold weather?

I had something really wierd happen to me today. I was at Lake Tahoe in about 20 degree weather. I was stopping at a stoplight, shifting from second to neutral. When I was stopped, I let go of the clutch but it just stayed up there. Pushing it again would do nothing. I had to open my door, get out, and use my hands to pop it back out.

Does anyone know why this occured? I find this pretty scary and dangerous if my clutch would get stuck while moving during gearshifts.

I have seen this happen when you get air in the line. Did it only happen that one time? Might also need to get under the dash and cleana nd relube the return spring

Yep it only happened that one time. Kinda freaked me out a little after that.

Check your clutch fluid level. Your master or slave could be on the way out(leaking).

that happened to me this morning. it was about 5 degrees out, but the pedal didn't stay on the floor, it just took about a second to come back up. with subsequent movements it got a little better.
