So last night on my way home I got pulled for my license plate lights being out...both of them were out which seemed real odd to me. I was checking for a fuse and found none and hopped on here and found a few answers....I've check all the possible harnesses as well as trying another bulb that I know works.
Then I found that my DRL weren't working either. I haven't done anything to the car since the last time I know those were working. I've check the wiring under the hood as well as the connector behind the glovebox and everything seems to be connected firmly. Any ideas guys? |

Fuse #5 supplies power to the license plate light along with the rear combination lights so if the rear lights are ok then check for a broken connection along the red/yellow wire to the license plate lights. Also check the ground to lights for any trouble.

yeah all the rear lights seem to be working just fine. I've got taillights and the interior trunk light is working and they appear to be all run off the same harness. I just didn't know if somehow the drl and plate lights happened to be related in any way...doesn't seem like it but it appears they both stopped working at the same time.
Does anyone know if the red/yellow wire is a normal 12v? |

All the lights run on 12 volts.

So it turns out the bulbs were just dead for the plate lights...I just thought it was odd they both went out at the same time and I had tried another bulb but it didn't work. Ran to the store and got some new ones and sure enough they came right on.
Still not sure what is up with the drl but I don't really care about those. Close this thread mods. |
