Default Gauge install question: Remote oil sender w/ t-fitting for pressure and temp?

Hey guys,

Been doing tons of research on gauges and gauge installs. However, I haven't read a post or thread on this topic.

I have decided on going with a remote oil pressure sender kit because of clearance issues and engine block vibrations on the sender unit of the electric gauges.

1. My question is that, do I have to buy two of these? One for the oil temp and one for the oil pressure gauge? And also use the two gallery plug locations?

2. Can I just get one of these and get a t-fitting and hook up the two senders to one remote oil kit? If I can, I would probably go this route. Any tips on this would be awesome.

I decided against the sandwich oil adapters because of the possible leaks and hassle of changing seals, etc. However, the adapter would be a lot easier because most of them have two holes to plug in senders too...
I still might go with this route if the remote senders are a PITA.

Any help and suggestions are gratefully accepted. Thanks in advance!

I just did this recently with my car. A t-fitting won't work w/ the temp sender
because there is no oil circulating thru the hose. I know it is more convenient but it just won't work. I used a pro-sport remote sender kit in the front oil galley plug. I removed the dummy light sender under the alternator and bought a 1/8 bsp to 1/8 npt adapter from e-gauges.com and just screwed the remote sender hose into that. For the temp sender I bought there oil galley plug adapter from pro-sport and screwed my temp gauge into that down by the intercooler. works perfect and looks really clean...

pm'd with another question.

Why only use one remote sender kit? Was it just for clearance issues under the alternator?

Remove the plug down by the Intercooler and use 1 of the above kits for pressure.

Then, by the alternator remove the original pressure sensor, and use the hole there for oil temperature.

The only drawback is that the original oil-pressure warning light doesn't work anymore, but if you ever see that light come up while driving, chances are your engine is toast already
