I get 19-20MPG in town, that's what the factory rates it at. About 27MPG on the highway @ 65 with no a/c, go to 75MPH and it's about 25-26MPG.

I reckon I could get 28 or so @ 55 maybe? I'm swapping a 5MT in a couple weeks from now so I'll be back with my new MPG figures

i thought we did have one.. Or maybe that was in another forum...

Anyway
1998
JDM Legacy GTB Limited. 2L turbo. converted from twin turbo to single turbo - using V3 STi parts - always run on 98 ron pump gas.
5MT with 4.444 rear diff (so that's 3000 rpm in 5th, at 65mph)

i get about 10L/100K open road, probably about 13-14L/100K thrashing it.

that's 23.5 mpg open road, and about 17 mpg while squashing the fun pedal.

Yup. 32mpg over a long trip, 70-75 mph. 27 for mixed driving.

The Forester (SOHC 2.5) gets around 20 mixed, but needs plugs soon.

Best around townish (small town less stopping) was 24 just the last fill up. Granted I'm talking the 6 miles to work with 3 stops on the way, then the additional 10 miles to my friends house after work with one or two stops, then 16 miles home, 4 stops along the way. If I go to work and back and stay in the stop and go I average 19/ 20 mpg even when I put my foot into it and let the engine sing up to 5k or so (gotta love a stick).

consider this. youre not using all 16 gallons of gas when you drive.

you have to take into consideration the amount of gas left over when you fill up. so you should divide the ~300 miles you drive by the number of gallons you fill at the pump..

and the most consistent way to see your average mpg.. is to fill from the same pump everytime. that way the auto shut off stops at a more consistent place everytime. each pumps auto shut off varies based on their sensor.

True, but I count the gallons I fill up with (which is usually around 10-12 gallons total) then caculate mpg based on that I used next time I fill up from the trip odometer.
