Lightbulb New Trick

Wow, it has been a while since I have logged on here.

Anyway, I just was messing around the other day and found some interesting stuff. Earlier this year, I put a whole new stereo system in my car, all to be controlled a IVA-W200. All the while I was looking at buying this multimedia add on that ran some ridiculous 500 dollars retail to be able to calibrate the sounds to my liking.

So the other day I hooked up my Ipod touch to it and realized-- by using the ipods equilizer's features, it changed how my mp3's were playing through my stereo. And, of course, it only works with the ipod function. May not sound like a whole lot to you nay sayers out there, but considering I was gonna buy a 500 dollar add on to do just this is incredible.

Thought this bit of information might be useful to those out there that have any brand unit that has ipod but no EQ features.

yeahh thats what ive been using in my infiniti.... Aux in doesnt have any kind of equalizer which is why some songs sound much different than others.. especially if you download from limewire etc... I usually keep the eq off because I cant find a suitable eq on the ipod being that I listen to all types of music... to me itll be worth spending 500 beans on something that I can tune...

Yeah, most leave it off because it can really screw with the sound. If you're running really crappy mp3's then it could help, but vipernj's idea of just getting a real EQ is a much better idea.

And $500? You are looking at the wrong places my man
