Idea's for spring meet

Hello MAIC.
Emsmap (Logan) and I are again planning on having another meet this year. The last one in Martinsburg, WV turned out better than we expected. It was though our first attempt at hosting a meet and everything didn't go as planned. We are asking for any ideas or input on having the next meet. I know that a lot of you have hosted/planned meets in the past or have attending many successful ones. How can we make this meet better and more enjoyable for all? As of this moment a date and time has not been set, Logan and myself just began throwing the idea around for this year.

For those of you who weren't able to make last years or didn't even know it happened, let me tell you a few things about it.

We had noticed that a huge majority of club members were in the NOVA and HR areas. There are several members in our area which is the Eastern panhandle of WV and southern Maryland mostly around Hagerstown. Logan and I were continuously seeing modified subaru's around and wanted to get to know other local members and enthusiasts. Unfortunately, we were not able to make the 1 1/2 to 3 hour drives to make meets in the D.C. area. We decided to have a meet for members and owners in our area. It took place in Martinsburg WV, which was the central location between Hagerstown and Winchester VA, the largest town near me. We met an the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot and had about 30+ attendees. CSS performance and AR Fabrication came out with their cars and parts. The plan following the meet was to cruise to Charles Town Races and get some group pics on top of the parking garage. At the last minute we found out that the racetrack wouldn't allow us to gather there. The plans changed and several people took a trip to a local school in Martinsburg for some pics.

We are considering doing the meet in Winchester, VA this time or possibly Hagerstown Maryland. It is open any members of NASIOC that want to attend, or non members who own any type of subaru. Last year I also put the word out on WRXtuners, I-club, clubwrx and RS25.com and had a few members of those clubs come by. Logan and I put out flyers on every suby window we came across.

Sorry for such a long post but we really welcome your feedback on how we can make this years Winchester/Martinsburg/Hagerstown area MAIC meet a success.

Had to say it but anyways you should know that I'm up for the meet without asking, sleep or not. I'll also put the word out on Dirty Impreza.

Meet at an autocross event? Not everyone has to sign up to drive.
