Default cold weather autox

cold weather autoxers do you run r comp tires all season long or do you run street tires untill 70* . if not what is the best cold weather street tire. jv

Most r-comp'ers still run their race tires during cold weather, it just takes a lot longer for them to get warmed up.

If you are in the market for street tires:
Dunlop Direzze Z1 Star Specs ( I run these and love them! )
Bridgestone RE-01R or the new RE11's ( or some RE number )
Yoko Advans

Those are a good place to look to get started anyway. Lots of good info on each of these in this section.

When I ran winter events, I just used my worn our Rs from the summer season. Cold weather tire grip will be less whatever tire you run but winter events are more for fun anyway.

I'm pretty sure Nationals has been cold for plenty of people (running in the mornings, etc) and I don't think they take off their Hoosiers when that happens

It all depends what class you're in.
