Default crazy question kinda

1997 outback legacy na 2.5, i want to turbo it i havent found anything in terms of turbo manifolds that work with it. But could i use legacy gt turbo parts? with the same chassis code? the main problem i see is inproper exhaust clearance, and im not shure if the legacy gt has different clearance. theres about no parts out there for the outback legacy but i was wondering also if parts from like impreza would fit the car i have no clue if the under body is the same.

Legacy gt is N/a not turbo. Unless its 1st generation

Its not worth your time turboing a High compression engine unless you just want small amounts of boost.

yeah i dident want to go like 300 hp no i just want something nice like 230 260 something i could pull out of. I know that the legacy in the same year of mine has a 2.2 turbo. but the compression is somewhat simular to the 2.5 na i think the 2.2 na is high compression. Last time i looked at the pistions in the 2.5 im shure that there lower compression. but i wanted to keep it in stock range. i know that the newer subie ej255 is turbo but my main question is if i can get a manifold for the ej25d and fit it in the legacy outback wagon

Most ej25 manifolds will swap unless it 2003+ However you have to deal with different IAC, EGR valves etc.

To get a reliable 230-260 you would have to go full out swap.
Maybe Ej22e(ej22t) from a first gen leggy or something more serious. You would still have to go full standalone, full exhaust, turbo, injectors and supporting mods on that motor....
