Default AVCS compatibility?

Long story short, I just need to know if it is possible for the AVCS to funtion with:

jdm ej207 v8 block
usdm '05 2.5L STi heads
jdm harness
jdm v7 ecu

Please, any help is appreciated, thanks!

I think you need to learn a little bit more about head to block compatibility first before AVCS.

The '05 EJ257 has a wide combustion chamber. The edges of the 2.0L block will be on the INSIDE of the combustion chamber and will more than likely be a hot spot for detonation. That right there is the FLAW in your setup. You are better going with the JDM 2.0L heads over the USDM for head flow and head to block compatibility.

I know the 2.0 heads are the best for this setup, I was considering getting a car with the setup I mentioned and changing to the 2.0 heads but wanted to know if as it sits now, the AVCS would work because I was told by another person here that it would not work but the person selling the car assured me that it was functioning but after some debating, I think I'm going to pass on the car.

Thanks for the reply and link, I'll take some time and read through the thread
