Default JDM v7 fit on GC

I bought some JDM v7 wheels thinking they would fit my GC, I was wrong, they pulled too close to my strut. Has anyone been able to successfully fit them on their GC? They currently have re070 on them, but i plan on putting some falken 452's when get a chance.

I have Gr-2 struts if that makes a difference. I was planning on simply putting a spacer as it doesnt seem to be missing much to clear the strut, but i realized that the bolts seem too short to run a spacer.

Basically my question is "how can i fit these on my gc without major work". If i use a spacer will i have to change the bolts? Or must i change my struts?

Any help is much appreciated, i hate when i dont do proper research before a purchase, but all the info i had said that these would be bolt on .

They do fit without spacers. You're not the first person to run those wheels on a GC.

What size are the tires?

I figured but, they are touching my strut so much that the wheel will not turn. The tires are 225/45/17, re070

Hm. THat doesn't make sense. I know of one person who ran that wheel on that size tire on KYB AGXs without issue.

hmmm.

possibly because the agx's have a skinnier base because of the adjustments. I was planning on switching out the suspension but didnt anticipate it so soon.

Get different tires, RE070s are in fact 235 if you measure them
with a different 225 tire you should be fine

use camber bolts to push the top of the knuckle outward. This would lessen camber and give you more inboard room from tire to strut. You could probably get enough clearance doing this. It will move the tire a bit closer to the fender though so it really depends. Plus in the front if your still using regular struts you might only have a little camber as it sits up front and lessing it too much might bring you into positive camber and thats not good.

My idea would only work if you have some clearance between the tire and the fender to play with and if you already have a decent amount of camber so that decreasing it wont cause any problems.

I just wanted to let you guys i still havent found a solution. I tried both 3 and 6mm of spacers and it still hits my struts. I'm not sure what to try next, maybe i will just try and trade these for some 7 in width rims.

So i have come to the conclusion that something is bent in the back right which is making me unable to put the wheel on. I say this because i havent had the time and with this bad weather to check all the wheels. The front fit fine, the back left rub a tad but with a spacer it will be fine.

However, i cant seem to find what is bent everything looks fine to me, ive even measured everything and they all measurement are within 2 mm from the other side. I dont see this being the problem.
