I'm going to get a 97 Impreza L and I want to think about getting a turbo. I read with stock internals you can safely boost about 10 lbs. is this true?
I think also that a garrett Ball Bearing turbo is the best any Comments? I was woundering if a bumper from a 99-01 2.5RS bumper will fit on the car? |

you can take all of the 99-01 body parts and put them on that car. you just need to change certain ones with each other
ie headlights, grill, hood all must be done at the same time I believe. Garrett GT25's are NICE turbos if you can fork out 1500 bucks. And the stock internals will take 10 psi but your injectors wont' like it and neither will your tranny. Brad |

when you change your bumper you will need to change your front bumper beam..

The headlights and grill fit just fine. You will need a bumper beam.
Turboing any suby is not easy or cheap be prepared to do mucho research. |

The bumper beam is cheaper than the bumper it' like 100 buck or so. I wouldn't recommend the light wieght one though, I had to get a second one after 2mph impact.

You can always just cut the bumper beam you have. I don't recommend it, but it's been done. The bumper beam is about $75 from Troncalli Subaru, IIRC.
