Default Know anything about HKS Turbo Timers?

I bought this one from a friend of mine who took it off of a blown turbo Eclipse and I know nothing about it (hey, it only cost me a case of Coors Light!)....

I would like to know:

1) does this thing have a model number?

2) Which color wire should be attached to which OEM wire?

3) Does anyone sell a wiring harness for a 00 RS that will fit this thing?

Thanks,

Nathan

if you have an alarm you can't really use it. if you arm the alamr with the motor on it will go off. so either turn off the alarm or give it to me

They make a harness!!!

That's their base one, I think they just call it a TT. Go to any HKS dealer and ask for a harness for a Japanese, or European STi WRX, I think any version should work, but try to get at least a Ver 4. It will snap right in, I know this for a fact, I have an HKS Type 1 in my car, and a STI Ver 4 IIRC.

Also, you can snip a wire from the factory alarm, so you can arm it while the car is running. The only bad thing is you'll have to turn the dome light OFF, or hook up a new relay for it.

Remove the lower part of the dash, as well as the metal parts behind it. You should be able to see the Alarm unit back there. (BTW, unhook the battery before you do this.) The wire is marked on the case, I think it's Wire #6, it's a 12v ignition. Cut it, and you can use the alarm with the car running.
