Default Gauging interest on a new subframe brace

With the demise of RPM there isnt much in the way of full subframe braces for our cars anymore. A friend and I are looking to potentially build a new style. If the price point is right would there be local interest? I am willing to put one out there for a track whore like WgnWheel if he would like to try one out and give his opinion and ideas as well.

First applications would be 02-07 WRX/STi. Your RS for the weekend and we can fab one up for the old school guys as well.

You might want to check out this guy.

http://www.oswaldperformance.com/wrxsubframe

He's an engineer down in Tucson and makes a very good RPM style brace aready. I spoke with him on a bumper beam project once and he knows his stuff. If these are made like his bumper beams, he's done all the CAD and simulation work too.

That being said Brock, if you would be willing to give a discount, I would do the CAD/CAM analysis for your brace so you can have some engineering data behind your design.

You have to be a vendor to sell your own products... Do you not?

I'm actually using the Beatrush subframe now, and I think it's much better than the RPM one I had. Lighter, flat bar design gives more clearance underneath etc.

I actually saw an old RPM one at Goodspeed the other day, with 2 of the bars crushed off someones sti.

I'd be interested to see what you're thinking though.

ill let you fab one for the foz though i was just going to build my own anyways. the one to fit mine would fit any swaped RS or Foz. the stock RS engine cradle doesnt have mounting points iirc for a subframe
