"Central Pennsylvania Subaru Barbecue"!

Hello! Thank you for checking out our event thread!!!!
My name is Cory Ankenbauer and I’ve decided it’s time to start a BBQ!!!

Myself, as well as a few friends (Matt, Earl, and Nate) are throwing an annual Subaru BBQ in central PA! We will be holding this at Gifford Pinchot State park. I have attended a BBQ here in the past for a now defunct forum. That meet brought in around 150 cars, and it was perfect. It can easily hold more.

The date will be August 7 2010.

The current plan is as follows:

$5/car. Annual BBQ decals and one raffle ticket will be handed out to drivers, and anyone else willing to donate $5. ANY AND ALL PROFIT WILL BE DONATED TO HELP FUND CYSTIC FIBROSIS RESEARCH!!!!!!

Please vote on the poll, and if you like the idea, spread the word!!!! (if your forum/this thread has no poll, feel free to comment whether or not your interested. For forums this applies to, I’ll come back through every so often and update a list in this first post.)

Why you ask? There aren't many large Subaru meets in this area! We are strong, we are many, and we like BBQ!!! Also, CF needs every dollar people can give. It's terrible what CF does, we have the power to help!!

FOOD AND DRINK WILL BE SERVED! Burgers and dogs are a MUST!

I have contacted a few shops, and will be contacting more. Also, I’m in talks with SOA for some swag to raffle off as well.

Just replied to your thread on RS25. I'll be there so long as I have nothing else going on, particularly if it's at Pinchot. Very close to my house.

My wife and I are thinking that we'll be there - we have a very rare no-definite-plans day or two, and it's been forever since we've made a Subie meet.

One question, since I've not been following this super closely... Does anyone know if dogs are allowed in all sections of the park? We've been there a few times, but only once with Lilly. She'd love to come along! Every Lab loves a car ride...

(On the way to the groomer, last weekend in our Outback!)

Not sure if we'll have her '01 OB or my '05 GT, but either one works.

I one of the others. We are setting this up now to plan and gather interest. We have a lot more surprises in the works and will be working with other companies to help out with this event. The money is going to a good cause and we see no profit from it. Come out and have a good time with fellow subie owners

My ultimate goal is a large meet this year, and a epically huge meet next year!!!! This area's Subaru population is multiplying rapidly, not to mention the crowds in northern MD and surrounding areas.

I googled hoping to find another to say yes but there is not lol

I am at my buddies house working on my car all the time, he is 2000ft up the road from the shooting range going towards dillsburg. Man you would of been nice to call when we needed to know why the engine keep flooding when we were trying to find a misfire on #4 while swapping injectors.
