Default How to remove an ecu

Any one know how? I searched but was unsuccessful in my searching.

I bricked my ecu while reflashing and I need to pull it out to send to taxtrix.

I don't even know where it's located. If someone could direct me to a link with pictures, that would be awesome

And any advice on shipping would be appreciated as well. I don't know how fragile these things are. I've never had to ship computer parts, but I always get them in anti-static bags.

Is that kind of protection necessary when shipping an ecu?

You pull the passenger side carpet back and there is a metal plate. It's under there. I wasn't sure so I just searched ECU location. Imagine that. As far as shipping goes, i would ask Tactrix what they suggest.

It is under the carpet on the passenger side. There are some thumb screws holding the carpet down. It is under the metal plate.

ok, found the ecu, but I can't figure out how to make the floor let it go. I pulled really hard and that doesn't work. I then talked sweetly to it and that didn't work either. I resorted then to foul language and yelling. Again with the same disappointing results.

I don't see any screws or push tabs to push.

How do I get it out?
