Assuming you are referring to the stock 17x7 with 215/45 on stock WRX, those tires will fit, but are going to be significantly taller than stock. Im not sure about what mods you will need if any. If I may ask, why are you set on that size?

225/45/17 would be better based on overall size (width/height).

Hope this helps.

I see....I suppose the 235/45 would work....but its going to be much taller than stock and the 235 width is really not needed on a 7 inch wide wheel. You might get a bit of that muffin top look.

If you are stuck on doing that, then you can also look into 235/40, which will be a little shorter than stock. In my opinion a 225/45 is the best option for something a little wider, but the appropriate height and width for your wheels.

So in the end its up to you, but I would recommend a 225/45 or a 235/40 if you are stuck on a 235 and dont mind a tire thats going to be a bit "squishy". Or just get new wheels that will require a 235 or 245.
