Honestly. I have been waiting for them. My friend has them on his civic (yes i know, totally different car and performance requirements) and they are phenomenal. By his suggestion, i emailed the company wondering if they were making any others. They emailed back saying it would be out this year. Friday was their release day. I received mine today. I was the 1st person to purchase them and they hand delivered the item to me. I am serious. The head of marketing drove his BMW from Reno to the bay area to congratulate me on being there first person. Even brought me champagne, a hat, and a t-shirt to celebrate.

Ok, i still need to install them. Probably by next week. I'll post again with how they feel.

BTW, i have a 07 wagon.

i can take photos later, dont know where i would host them though. im planning on doing a review, but it would be my first one and I wouldnt know what to compare to or anything, so we'll see how that goes. The marketing guy wants me to be honest in it so i will. They say its been tested by rally drivers, and raceland has a huge following in europe.

PLEASE see if you can ride on other suspension set-ups in your area so you can compare to something other than stock.

$388 for a full set of coilovers with camber plates...this ought to be interesting. My camber plates alone cost twice that. I'm tempted to buy a set just to take them apart.

At that price point I give them a year before falling apart. Just can't make a quality product at that price point.

$388 for four coilovers and you are wondering about the quality?

MSI will get on it ASAP ... 388$ ?? I am more than curious. That puts it under the price of ANYTHING that I have ever come across. Heck, it is almost 1/2 our price of a front pair of top mounts. Or 1 DMS Progressive spring with shipping + 80$ and a Big Mac Trio?
I know we are not cheap, but less than 400$ for four shocks WITH mounts ?

Anyhow ... more to come once we get a set ... and put on one of OUR cars and OUR professional rally drivers .....

Perhaps it is simply a typeout on their website ? 1388$ maybe ?

Out of interest, on their home page : http://www.racelandus.com/t-about.aspx
The Mr. Blok made a few claims, some of which caught my attention, namely the x5 time Canadian champion ?

I brought up the lifetime standings page for CARS rally .... am I missing something?

http://carsrally.ca/CARSRally/Default.aspx?tabid=135

If I have missed something or am mis-informed, someone please advise me.

Don't think so considering the price for other cars.

I'm glad a reputable company has decided to test these.

I also noticed this last night, specifically his claims to some WRC events. I found mention of his competing in the WRC, but the only finish i found was like 30th or something.

I also found mention of him on special stage, right next to the word "controversial" in a thread that was about "best DNF excuses".

i just ordered mine sunday and today the shipping guy paid me a visit.
they were packed pretty decent but during shipping the box looks like it got beat up and welds look decent. i'll be installing these as soon as my brother gets back. they look similar to the kyb struts i had with ground coilovers. im pretty impressed with the quality for being $388 and i hope i live up to their hype.

um, isn't their hype that they're crap? it's their *advertising* that says different. but good luck! i'm guessing they're a really cheap version of the cheap coilovers out there (bc, stance, etc). yes, they, most certainly just use whatever shocks they have, and weld different mounts on the outer sleeves to call them 'subaru specific', but even a broken clock is right twice a day, right? maybe the stars aligned just right for these shocks to be decently for our cars. no one knows until we get some updates!

on a side note, if the sleeves hold up, they could be a cheap option for gutting and sliding a set of koni inserts into with different springs. i did that with my sti pink coilovers. i just wish mine had the threaded-body, height adjustment to make up for the variance in insert length.

I know a bunch of vw guys with these. They are JUNK. The top hats seized due to low quality materials and the threads on the shock body rusted and seized as well. This was all within a year.

You should write ads for Raceland. Decent quality parts don't go out so you don't have to pay anything out of yo booty.

$388? I think I spent that much on just one Koni DA insert a few weeks ago.
