Help! Wacky brake light problems 06 wrx wagon

My 2006 WRX wagon's brake lights are acting funny. Most of the time they are not working. I have checked the fuse which is good. What is strange is moving the wire connected to the blue and white harness for the lower clutch indicator switch will cause the brake lights to work. I can't see anywhere on the wiring diagram where the brake light wiring is connected to the clutch switch. I have started to look for a grounding issue, but I have no clue where else I should look. Any ideas? Car is stock except for a couple gages and alpine radio head all powered off the radio wiring. Gauges and radio have been installed for multiple years. I also occasionally get a blinking cruise light, but have never gotten a SES. Thanks!

Sorry for the post, after a few hours, I figured it out. Because the lights where working sometimes I thought it was a grounding issue. I was wrong. It was a bad connection with the brake light switch. When I would press the clutch or move the clutch switch wire it would cause the connecter to the brake switch (same wire loom) to move enough that it would sometimes have a connection. The 06 has 4 connectors on the brake switch, one which appeared to be connected to the accessory. If you are holding the connector with the release tab facing up and you are looking into the connector, the upper right is power, the lower right is accessory related, and the lower left is the brakes. I did not take the time to figure out the upper left. If I was not supposed to reply to my own post, sorry, and I hope this helps somebody sometime.
