Default About to buy gauges...look at these prices!

I'm in the market for gauges, more specifically, Greddy 52mm black-faced gauges. I searched the net high and low for A) places that have them in stock and B) decent prices.

A) seems to be tricky since most places don't have them in stock, or at best just one or two of the gauges I want. Most of the prices I've seen have been similar except....

Auto Image Enhancement. Look at those prices....easily $10 cheaper, and I emailed the fellow yesterday to find out that they are even in stock! I don't know if anyone has ordered from them, but I think I might be the guinea pig.

Anyway, if anyone else is looking, this place might be worth checking out...I'll post a review when I get around to ordering.

I ordered springs for my Accord V6 a few months back through him. Not jet fast delivery (it was a group buy), but price was decent and email replies were less than a day.

I'm also looking for gauges (52 mm), but not Greddy's....too much $$$!

Cool, someone does have experience with this place. I'm not in any kind of hurry, so as long as it gets here and it's what I ordered, I expect I'll be pleased.

Ordered yesterday lunchtime, so we'll see how long it takes.

Yeah, you'll get it. They might be backordered, but I've ordered 2 greddy gauges from them and a profec B. Their prices are cheap, but delivery is a lil slow. That was probably my only concern if you wanna call it that. Good luck.

Update:

I emailed and found out the gauges I wanted were in stock. I ordered two days later, but unfortunately, someone else seems to have beaten me to it, and he no longer had them in stock.

So now I'm playing the waiting game. When he gets more in, supposedly I'll have a set shipped to me. On the positive side, he has not charged my credit card yet. So bonus points for that...some vendors I've read about on here have a bad habit of charging first, shipping later (or much later, or not at all).

I am also looking for Greddy gauges - found vividracing.com had them a little cheaper than most.

I am also buying some other items to save on shipping so I'm going with vivid. Auto Image Enhancement didn't have anything else I needed. Keep us posted on when you receive your gauges.

GReddy has been backordered forever.

I'm still waiting on 2 of 3 52mm gauges, from a different vendor. They were told end of the month by Greddy.

When ordering these guages, are the sensors included or do you need to order them separately.

I saw that AIE had another page with sensors & prices.

Thanks,
Russ

Default IM'd Vividracing yesterday

I AIM'd Vividracing yesterday and told me that one of the gauges is backordered, but will be about 5 days before they get restocked.

For the prices I'm seeing for these gauges they will come complete with the sensors related to the gauge.

The gauges come with everything - Greddy gauges are great quality from everything that I've heard, and with the prices on AIM (I just orgered an EGT, Oil Pressure, and Temp.) you really can't go wrong with the value. Far lesser gauges cost this much.

I'll re-post when I get them (they are backordered - EVERYWHERE!!).

Wow! I'm researching getting a GReddy oil temp gauge, and these are scary cheap prices, $10 less than the last group buy I missed. Well under Vivid Racing and Civic Superstore, too.

What're there shipping rates like?

TIA,

Ben

Just checked, and yes, German-Autowerks [sic] prices are as good as most others, but not as low as AIE's.

On principle, though, I'm not excited about buying from a "we're an Audi shop but sideline in Subaru" shop, and I'm effing annoyed by people who butcher foreign languages because they think it's cute... It's Werke, not Werks! I bet the only thing German about them is the Beck's in their 'fridge.

Anywho, I'll probably buy locally at Turbo Evolution or Upgrade Garage (I'm in L.A.), it's worth an extra $10-$20.- to be able to look the guy in the face and to be able to go back if there's a problem. Tony at Turbo Evo's already answered my e-mails, his prices are decent, and he comes highly recommended.

Update:

Adam at AIE shipped my gauges yesterday. I hope to see them in a few days. Darn Greddy backorder!

When I get them I'll post a review in the Vendors forum.

You might ask German Autowerks to match AIE's price... they did for me.

But then, I was ordering $3,500 worth of stuff...
