Thinking of ordering OpenPort and BCS. Anyone have input regarding their BCS? It's alleged to be PnP with Subies...

Buy a MAC valve (part number 35A-AAA-DDBA-1BA) and save money for your tune. It cost me about $35 for the valve, a couple fittings, and some vacuum line. I just spliced into the existing BCS harness and soldered on the leads from the MAC valve. Otherwise you'll need to find a pigtail that works with the BCS harness. I didn't feel like spending the time or money tracking one down. Used double sided tape to stick it to the existing BCS bracket and put a zip tie around it for security. The MAC valve is the same one used by a variety of performance parts manufacturers. It is working great for me so far on the e-tune that I'm getting right now. REMEMBER: YOU WILL NEED A TUNE! Otherwise you'll overboost since the wastegate duty cycle must be lowered quite a bit for a 3 port.
Also, update your profile with your car details so we know what you've got. |

The plus for the Tactrix BCS is that it comes with the Subaru adapter harness. It's the same solenoid sold by Prodrive apparently.

I say MAC valve as well. Very cheap and reliable.

The order is in for the Openport 2. I have to hold off on other stuff. Money doesn't grow on trees anymore. Well, it sort of does, just not in my yard...

You can get the connectors here for an oem look. I don't worry much about shipping cost be cause I order a bunch at a time and use them to make pigtails for Bosch Injectors. They are cheap but shipping is high
![]() http://www.connectorsfast.com/store/...rs&SubCatID=61 Nippon Denso Style Male Connectors (ND-M2) I also found them here for a cheaper shipping price. http://www.injectorconnectors.com/Connector_Store.html |

Checked that link, thank you. The OP2.0 showed up earlier today. Just read my ROM and it's not recognized so I'm not sure where to start looking for a start point. Not surprised that a newer model wasn't found. I WAS surprised that it found the OP and ECU and read it the first time. (Gotta be lucky once/day.)

EcuFlash works better when you have metadata where it belongs... There are valid maps in my ROM now. I wish I ordered the O2 sensor with OP2.0

The tactrix openport 2.0 works with the 02+ wrx's very well. Spend the couple extra bucks to get the jumper, saves your paper clip/spare wire stash.
