Question Sponsorship ?

Hey I been sitting here scratching my head trying to figure out why Soob doesnt have a major sponsor in the WRC in the same spirit as Martini Ford, or Marlboro Mitsu, etc. They droped 555 but never really picked up another major ad buyer. I am not saying that this is good or bad, I am just wondering if they had a sponsor would that help with R&D costs for the car/season.

I believe that BAT still funnels $$$ in Subaru's direction. Look @ the 1999 Rally China; (555 was the title sponsor of the rally AND title sponsor of the SWRT.

You're gonna see tobacco sponsorship going away soon anyway...

I'd love to see someone else sponsor the car but it just looks too damn good in rally blue...

Hey Myk roger that "looks too damn good in rally blue" but do you think that Evo will go a different color if/when Marlboro drops out? I would think that these car colors are getting to the point of motorcycle or snowmobile racing, each factory has their own color scheme and the sponsors just go over the top. The Peugeot(sp?)206 went from Esso to Total as sponsors but kept the same silver color of the car. It is kinda like F1, you will never see a Ferrari in anything but Ferrari Red.
