Default Want to buy 04-07 sti -<13k
Looking to buy a sti with higher miles or possibly a rebuilt title. I have cash in hand and willing to travel within about 800 miles or less. I'm located in Southeast TN. About an hour and a half south of Knoxville. Let me know what you got. Thanks.

Well good luck getting an STi for 13k that is clean and still has a solid motor... Chances are you are going to get one that the engine is about to go and you just don't know it... Might as well go for the super cheap one in the for sale section, rebuild the motor and then you'll have a good as new STi...

But it's your money and time... My prediction is you'll spend ALOT of one while trying to save alittle of the other so good luck.

I would take 13k for mine. It runs well but will probably need rebuild soon, as there is 68k on the built motor.

It makes 507whp and is driven daily. 125k miles

That's what I thought someone was going to say. I bought a 04 sti 2 years ago with 131k miles and ran flawless. Sold it stupidly at 155k miles and motor was solid. I paid 12.5k for it.

I'm not scared of the high miles factor like most people. I see subies all the time having motors go bad at less than 100k. Probably because they were mistreated. I have already found several high mileage sti's. Just waiting for the right one.

I don't need the negative feedback. Good advice is appreciated but I know the risk involved already.

Btw, 9k for one with 200k and a bad motor isn't that good of a deal. Maybe 7k.

See if you can talk him down lower... You could do a motor re-fresh for what, couple grand. Then it's basically a "new" car...
