same tires, different width help

So here is the story. I have goldies bbs and they are 17x8 +53 with potenza 225/45r17 on now. So these used tires I wanna get are dunlop also 225/45r17 but they were on a different wheel (17x7). Do u know would they fit? I have no clues about tires. Maybe its a stupid question, I tried to search but nothing came up. Thanks for help guys

Yes they will fit. Same size tire ....... What wheel the were mounted on before doesn't matter. Just make sure they have even wear ......

Size of the wheel they were mounted on before does not matter.......

unless you own an 05+ sti or have done a hub swap, those bbs goldies are 17x7.5.

I got the 07 bbs, without the hub swap. According to master oem wheel spec, 05-07 bbs are 17x8. And 08-10 are 17x7. I believe they should fit on ok.

you do not have 07 bbs. they are 04.

These going on your 2005 WRX without a 5x114.3 hub swap or conversion spacers? 08+ STi BBS are 18x8.5 my friend.

07 STi BBS will not fit on your 05 WRX. WRX has 5x100 lug pattern, 05 and up STi is 5x114.

I got wheel adapter to fit to the WRX hub. I am talking the wheel width,because I am trying to get some used tires for the bbs. Between 05+ goldies 17x8 compare to 09-10 WRX wheel width 17x7. They are 1 inch different in the width on the wheel (according to master OEM WHEEL spec) But have the same tires mesurement. That's was my concern if the tires are interchangeable. But MD04WRX said it doesn't matter.

Tires will fit the wheel.
The question is if the wheels + tires + spacers/adapters fit your car.

Hahaha yea that would be another question. But I am sure it will, because I already have them on. I am just getting smaller width tire. I am gonna try and see Haha thanks guys

I meant the same size tires was on a smaller width rim and now I am putting 8" width rim. Haha my bad for confusing u.
