I live in Finland as you can see from the left. It's the home country of many famous rally drivers like Makinen, Kankkunen etc. To the point. I envy you USA people, because you have so dawn low car and gas taxation. Here in finland, I think we have the worlds highest (no kidding, really) taxes for cars. E.g. new wrx costs 50000 USD and my current car costs about 7000 USD! And the gasoline costs about 1 USD per litre! Ofcource the taxation also includes every damn aftermarket part. So have fun with your cheap cars and buy cars which consumes gas as elefant water (or something)

If my choice was between driving for the rest of your life in a WRX STi on the interstates of America or in an early '80s Chevette on the groomed dirt roads of Finland, I'd take the latter in a second!

I've actually been to finland many times, they got great candy! You can't mess with findland's candy. The people are crazy though, serious anger management problems.

Canada has a great medical system, we roll in the snow after hot-tubbing, our gas taxes are worth mention, and there's some great rally roads here in Ontario, and in Quebec.
The only thing I hate is that we got the ugly ass front bumper cover for the 2.5RS in 2000. Which is what you'll find on my car. ![]() |

Lucky Americans?
here in California we get rolling black out, no electricity, just like third world countries. j/k in europe people generally get better benifits than americans. europeans can milk the government for years. in america, if you don't work you get no help $$$ unless you have like 6 kids. |

... and $90 USD is about sixty quid, which is twenty quid *less* than the peak my dad used to pay in the UK to fill the tank in his old 735i (which had a long-range, 26 gal tank admittedly). So with the taxes in HK, I'd say HK$700 was about right.
