Default Grimmspeed Heatshield

Got a new grimmspeed heatshield for the 2011 WRX sedan

First impressions out of the box. Very nicely packaged with a thank you card!
The stainless steel has a good weight to it. It is definitely not flimsy at all and it has space to fit bigger downpipes as well.

The piece is beautiful and it lowered my engine bay temps significantly compared to my piece of crap cut up oem heatshield.

Installation: You need the downpipe bracket for the heatshield and that's all. The lower bolt mount is pretty hard to reach and torque on. Make sure you have small hands or tons of patience. I loved how it's such an easy installation and straight forward as well. I would rate this a 2/10 on difficulty.

My tip: do this when you switch downpipes.

Grimmspeed also has one of the best customer service out there as well. I didn't get a free grimmspeed sticker so I emailed them and within the week they were shipped to me

Here's where I put them

REPPIN GRIMMSPEED!

I'm considering getting in of these for my sti. How did you determine you had a drop in engine bay temps?

I determined engine bay temp drops because i could surrounding areas without getting burnt. Grimmspeed has actual measurements with how much it drops on their webpage i believe. It remember it being pretty significant. Ill link it tomo. Too tired now

Default Grimmspeed turbo heatshield A+

I also purchased a Grimmspeed heatshield and couldn't be happier. It has been engineered to work with nearly any combination of turbo and downpipe. I paid them a little extra to ceramic coat mine to match my black 'sleeper' themed engine bay. Great part and great customer service.

Old thread bump.

Any of you know if I've got to pull my GrimmSpeed intercooler in order to install their heat shield on the turbo? Trying to avoid it if possible.
