Default girlfriends just dont understand

My girlfriend and i were on the way to dinner last night when we pulled up to a stop light. I noticed a middle aged guy in a explorer next to us staring over at us hard core. I was like is that guy just staring at us? she was like yeah for a couple mins now. I look over and he signals to have me roll down my window so i do. He complements the car and was like damn thats a hot little car. As we drive away my girlfriend puts head in her hand is like "i just dont get it!! what is so cool about this car?! i dont see why its so special?!" "i hope your head didnt get blown up too big to get outta of the car when get to the restaurant" hahahaha side note: her dad owns two muscle drag cars and is also on a pit crew for amateur stock car team! aka a redneck. She also drives a subaru 2011 outback! She is all sorts of confused

......and if one of her girl friends said to her "nice shoes", she'd probably talk about the shoes for an hour.

They don't get us.....we don't get them. Deal with it.

Thank you.. Thank you...

My girlfriend is very cool with all of my geeky car stuff. I'm a structural engineer, so she's used to me trying to explain ridiculous things to her, and wanting perfection out of all of my toys, from my car to my gaming PC to snowboarding gear, etc.

I think she's intimidated by the thought of modding things, but she's said she wishes she had a car that she could build up like I'm doing with mine. I usually can't shut my mouth though whenever I get into a new mod, so as cool as she is, I still try to make her feel like she's dating me... not me and the car.

And at the end of the day, a nice little pull in 2nd or 3rd and she's all giggles.

Get better girlfriends. My wife loves my car, the parts I put on it, and understands all that is Subaru.

She does make me help her memorize gifts for myself like 'Grimmspeed 44mm external wastegate', so yeah, I have a winner!

Girlfriends are easy. It's wives and daughters that are trouble.
