I'm planning on doing a stand alone ecu in my car. But as I look on the wiring diagram I find that there are a number of sensors and solenoids in/around the fuel tank regarding fuel tank pressure and evap. I was wondering what people usually do when they go stand alone if they cut them all out or just plug them up etc?
Oh and the car is a 98 forester. |

Just keep them plugged regardless and whether the New ECU is actually able to use them or not doesn't matter.

The link/vipec can control you purge/egr valve. All other sensors and whatnot back at the tank don't actually go to the main ecu but aux controllers instead so they should still function.
