Default Smy 02-07 gauge pod in a 2002 WRX

Just put in my new SMY Clustermaker dual gauge pod in my 2002 WRX and couldn't be happier. This thing is amazing and fits perfectly, didn't feel cheap at all which is always good. The color and texture is Accurate to the oem cluster. The only bad thing is I wish the pods could be tilted a bit more inward just because I can't see all of the tick marks on my defi boost gauge. But that's the only bad thing about it. Easy to install, just remember to transfer the white clips from the OEM to the new one and the rubber piece that goes under the cluster and over the steering wheel and be gentile with those metal retainers for the rubber because you need to reuse them.

Now for some pics

Overall a great cluster and Yanev is also great he always replies to emails fast and with info you want to here. A great pod from a great company would buy again 100%

Ah, you beat me to it! I'll post my pics and review here too if you don't mind, but my car is an 07 STi:

As much as I love the ATI Pod, I also love the OEM look of the SMY Cluster. But they only had them available for +08 models until now! Another advantage is, because I want to go Defi's, I only need to buy two gauges instead of three, and I only have the choice of 52mm. Savings all around! The only problem is... I've already blown my tax return on other parts. So I have no gauges QQ. Oh well.

Here's some comparison shots between the OEM cluster and SMY. In each pair of pictures, the first one is OEM, the second is SMY:

I test fitted the SMY into my car and man, does it ever look good. This is in an 07 STi. The fitment is very, very good. There are a few gaps that are open, even when screwed in. [Edit: Just to clarify, these gaps are less than paper thin] I did not transfer the clips from the OEM, so perhaps that will suck in these gaps. Either way, you need to inspect the edges meticulously to catch these gaps. I tried to capture these with my camera on the very last two shots:

Could you see the gaps? No? Me neither

I was also expecting to lose visual on the odometer, but the SMY Cluster gives full visual clearance to the panel behind.

I'm extremely happy and 100% satisfied with this product, and very stoked to get some gauges and have it all installed.

Thanks SMY! The wait was worth it!

the cluster is pretty nice, just installed mine as well but the one problem that bugs me is that my gauges are too loose. Yes, i know there are the rubber bands but what i had to do was forced my gauges in with the rubber bands. what a PITA! I thought the rubber band was to hold the other end of the gauge like my ATI pod.

^^ that's pretty much what I did to mine, force the gauge in with the rubber band. All I can say is that bish is not coming out that easy haha.
