Whats the best oil for a 2012 wrx?

Im looking for great cooling great wear protection and semi decent life. also what is the best oil filter? im going to be changing my oil myself soon so id like to know what some of you guys have had good experiences with.

"Best" is highly subjective. You will see many people have had great results with a VARIOUS amount of oils and filters. Next time utilize the SEARCH feature instead of making multiple "whats best" threads in one day. We will not spoon feed you something that you could and SHOULD research for yourself.

Ohhh my bad i thought the purpose of a forum was to ask questions,gain information, and share information. Besides all the oil threads were pre 2008 and lastly i wanted to avoid the generic our oil is number one compared to all these others who clame their number one.

Doesn't matter, the EJ25 hasn't really changed since 04, other than the addition of some extra addons, like exhaust AVCS and the air pump.

You know we have a sticky thread at the top of this forum dedicated to oil right?

You know if you were REALLY concerned, you'd install a $300 oil bypass unit which shows that you are, in fact, NOT concerned right?
