Default 2002 wrx engine swap? help

I have a 2002 impreza wrx. i bought it from a kid who said he put a 2.5 bottom in and it has 2.0 heads, now i dont have the money to put it back to stock (2.0l). so i was curious to ask.

i found a full 2.5 l engine for 1400$ 69,742 miles. is that to much to pay?

Also can i put a full 2.5 into the car from the rs model? its a came out of a 2002 impreza RS.

Will it match up to the mounts and tranny?

Physically it will fit, but it is the wrong engine for the application.

for that price it is likely an NA 2.5L not a turbo 2.5L, they are not the same

could you elaborate a little bit on the situation? Why do you need to go back to stock? Does it just need a tune?
