Default Wrench Party

Looking for a few people who would like to lend a hand on an up coming weekend. I have a garage with all the tools we will need. Beer and pizza.

Looking for someone who has installed TGVs before.

I have TiC composite TGVs, turbo inlet, fuel pump/fuel filter, EBCS, EL headers/uppipe(these might be done already) I think that's it.

Anyway if you want to help out or just want to be moral support let me know.

Make sure you take your intake manifold off with you TGV's. Otherwise it will be an ungodly nightmare. Ask me how I know.

haha yea that's what I'm planning on doing. I've read up a bunch on it but I know once I open it up all reading will be just that...reading.

Also forgot to mention the garage is located in Reston/Fairfax right near 267/FFX CNTY PKWY.

It will most likely be on a weekend. Trying to get it done before the next tuning session at IAG in December but we will see.

Perrin inlet. I've got to take it off my totaled car and then put it on the Sti. I've got to take the tgv's off my old car any way. But wasn't sure what I was gonna do for installing the inlet. I'll probably pm abnormal and see what he says.

Are you guys planning to take off your intake manifolds or just squeeze them in?

Squeezing them in is a lot less work just requires more beer and cigarettes aka patience,

If it is the Perrin V2 inlet it can be done by one person in less than an hour, depending on you available tools and experience-base. The v1 on the other hand....

Maybe nine months ago? I bought one shortly after it came out. It's great, because like the SAMCO inlet, it actually has the little S-bend near the turbo to fit properly. Many turbo inlet models don't have that. This seriously makes a huge difference in the install process, because models that don't have the S-curve have to be forced a little to fit onto the turbo right.
