When did you install the full exhaust? Have you since thrown a check engine light? It's Normal to need a tune after increasing your exhaust diameter and air intake from what was once stock.

02-03's can get away without having a tune, but for the sake of being safe and keeping your invesment running, GET A TUNE.

Not really trying to pick on you, but I hear people say this "protect your investment" when talking about your car. a car especially anything more than what gets you from point a to point b is the exact opposite of an investment. maybe we should change the terminology and use words like "money hole" or "reverse investment" or "depreciation bond" when talking about our cars. |

I bought a 03 wrx with Cobb intake and APS turboback. pretty similar situation that your in. it wasn't tuned so I bought AP and been driving around stage 2 for a couple of months with no issues. I love my AP. I would suggest you do the same. the added power is awesome!

It's an investment because you are still paying thousands of dollars to own it. If you own the right car long enough you can/will make money off of it. But the trend with cars is to own one 3 years or just half of your loan term, then trade for a newer model.

OP, if you already have the Cobb SRI and are intent on keeping it, look into getting the box as well. As well as a tune for it, of course.
If you are getting an AP, I'm fairly certain Cobb has a tune on there for stage 2 + their SF intake. But you should double check. |

You'll need to download the Stage 2+ Cobb SF Intake map from their site and flash it to be "good enough."
