Default gas smell

so the last couple of days its been cold out here in chicago. I can smell gas through the vents and when i open the hood. THATS IT!! its constant smell of raw gas. Please help..... I don't see any leaks or spills...????

Common problem with older WRX's. You'll need to tighten the clamps on the fuel rails under the intake manifold.

Is it safe to drive in it, in the condition its in??

It depends on your definition of safe. it could deffinately catch fire, things that spark like your starter and alternator could set it off. also huffing fumes not that safe.

I had the same problem with my 05 sti I did have leak on 4 hoses had the repaired charged me 270 for all 4 smell is gone but I don't know what they did and ruined my power steering pump, good luck

I too am having a similar issue; although every issue I’ve read about seem to indicate the owner starts the car and turns on heat before they smell raw gas. In my case i open the door and wham raw gas, car is never started just sat overnight. Any help would be appreciated as the dealership wasn’t much help when i contacted them.
