Default dash cam help

i want to get a dashcam for my BRZ but i want something rather small and not easily seen.

so far i have my mind set on the Itronics ITB 100HD. it records in 1080p, has gps, has a a g sensor for recording when the car is off.

however it is not MAC compatible in that it records in AVI. so i'd have to convert to make clip. also i dont know how exactly to hard wire it, essentially how do i make sure it doesn't drain the battery?

i was torn between this and the blackvue400 but that apparently over heats alot so i'm iffy about getting that model over this ITB 100HD.

also i can't decide if the fact that it only faces the front is a problem. are there any decent camera's with similar features that have front and rear facing cameras that are not massive and highly noticeable?

any suggetions would be great, thanks.

You can wire it into your map lights and/or dome lights. Cake. This is how most cars are done.
You could wire in a small switch if you wanted to when parked for extended periods, though I'm sure a strong battery could last days to a week.

If you want rear view, get a 2nd camera.

the problem is most of these camera's dont have batteries. so i'd have to wire it directly to mine or get a secondary one.

and i dont mean necessarily one for the back. but one small unit that has two cameras on it. one facing forward and one back.

Power Magic PRO is used with the Blackvue to hardwire.

Blackvue season 2 has done a much better job with resolving some issues. eBay has a few deals where you can purchase the Blackvue 400ii w/ power magic pro with the products warranties. Even 2 blackvues and the Pmp if you want to run a front a rear camera.

For the overall price the Blackvue is a decent option as long as the product backed by the seller. Some still reported overheating. How sure can anyone be that they are talking about the correct version.

Other forums actually have a vendor who did huge group buys on this cam.

saw the GB. i'm tempted to just get the blackvue but so many people had issues that i'm skeptical. the ITV100 seems like it has all the same feature with no issues and is cheaper?

any other camera's i should be considering?
