Default Subie Questions..going to buy

Hey guys,

I had to get rid of my Subaru, but now i'm in a position to get another one, it's got 85k miles on the clock, two owners. I know the timing belt has been done, and regular oil changes. What should I expect to service right away on it? Anything that I should look for?

be smart and pay the 150$ or so, have the car looked at by a shop and a compression test done.......

while your having the compression test done, u could have them throw in new spark plugs if everything checks out good.

also, since you are at 85k. the 90k service wouldnt be bad to do.

Check the pads/rotors while you're at it. They're not too expensive to replace

In the OC. It's freakin' clean. I regret selling my 2010. But hopefully this all works out.

Yes. I did the inspection. Car came out good. Needs a few minor things like plugs, cv boot. Parts cost comes out to $100! LOL I got the guys down $2295 off of their price. They did a leakdown and compression test for me.. next week it will be mine. . .

So the guy let you take the car to the dealer to get it checked out prior to buying it?

Yes. It's your right. If they refuse...run..far away. I feel more confident with the transaction. It's taking longer but I'm in no rush. The sales guy went with me btw.
