Default New guy

hey how you guys doing, im new to the forum and the Subaru brand.

been a Honda guy for 7 years now, my Sol got totaled on October and i got a chance to buy one of my favorite cars so i got me a WRX. just had the car for 2 weeks or so. freaking love it. now i might add that the car is not in the best of shape but ill mend the car in time. looking forward to learning more about these crazy flat 4 engines and enjoying a new type of car.

please mind the user name, i had that user name and email address since i was 16. its easier to remember one user name

will post pics tomorrow after a quick wash

Welcome!

Sorry about the Sol, I've had a few before so I can understand. I built an H22 sol back in 2002 and a nice turbo single cam in 05. Good luck with the wrx!

Car looks good. Does it have a front mount on it or is it just missing the scoop with a tmic?

Your profile says '02 WRX...

Did the previous owner do a front end/headlight swap 'cause those are '04-'05 headlights

I would assume it is not an 02. Only reason I say that is if the previous owner had the money for a complete front end swap then why would they skip adding the hood scoop

Very true haha, ya no offense to the OP, but i find that most of the people doing these things to subarus are the guys converting over from hondas, toyotas, and nissans. But whatever floats ya boat!!

I really do hope that OP made a typo in his profile. Then again, I've seen people do stupid part swaps on their cars before...

Well to start off my friend had the car before me. So i saw the car before the face lift so that's my proof, and the title says its a 2002 lol.

Then the car was involved in a fender bender, car gets totaled some how. only cosmetic parts luckily he bought the conversion from a guy in craigslist in WR blue as well.

A month later engine gives out at 220k miles. engine/trans gets replaced from the same Subaru in CL.

Some low life's steal the scoop and bend the hood in the process. That is how the car ended up looking like that. The WRX been through a lot and i have been there through most of it, and now its mine

Also ill never add something silly like an antenna. like to keep my cars clean.......my rice days are behind me
