Default 2000 Impreza Outback Wagon timing belt question

I know nothing about this gen. Thought some of you could help me out. Looking at a 2000 Impreza Outback Sport Wagon with 65k. I need to know when the timing belt needs replaced for this engine and also about how much is costs to have it done. Thanks for any info!

might want to read through this section and see if there is more info.

Timing belt should be changed at 105k miles or 10 years ish. So you might be due. I have no clue how much it would cost to have this done. It is not too difficult to do yourself.

Default 2000 Impreza timing belt

The book time for doing the timing belt on your Suby is 2.2 hours. The cost is whatever. The labor rate of the shop is x the book time.

In my opinion, if you plan on keeping the car longer than a year, just get it done. With 65k, it's not the mileage, but the age that may have harmed it.
