Default more trouble with cops or other drivers?

Do you seem to have more problems from authority or from random asshats on the road? Personally, iv never even been pulled over in my wrx. Iv passed a few cops doing well over the speed limit and the most iv got is a blip of their spotlight. Other drivers, however, make me wish I was in a different car sometimes. Trucks, streetbikes, other cars are always jacking off when I'm around. Iv been followed by bikes that have swerved at me and cars that get in front of me trying to slow me down, just to swerve into the other lane and try to race once they got me at a slow roll. I see most people complaining about attention from cops, but is that really what the majority of you are bothered by?

Other than my red mudflaps and a couple of shifter and suspension upgrades, it's basically a stock car. I would say I drive just as fast with this car as I did my 2009 Legacy 2.5i. I've had one Hyundai Genesis driver rev at me for a race and some early 2000s Mustang that pulled up behind me and started revving his V6 . One of my friends just thinks it's a wagon that sits really low and pulls hard, which is really the look and feel I'm going for anyway.

Indeed. I don't have a fancy sports car or some suped up hot rod. I have a spacious and practical hatchback that can get up to freeway speeds very easily

I got stopped by a cop coming on home from Arizona the weekend after Thanksgiving. It was coming into some middle of nowhere desert town. The speed limit outside of town is 70, then as you head in it turns into 45, then about 20 feet after that it becomes 35, then another ten feet and you hit a 25 zone. I didn't get from 70 to 25 fast enough so I got clocked at around 35 in the 25 zone at the edge of town. Cop let me go with a warning to slow down a little faster as I continue through the rest of these little towns. Still no tickets in the WRX, and I hope to keep it that way.

As far as other drivers, the worst I get is when I try to wave to another WRX and the other driver just mean mugs me

None of the above. I've got lots of mods including exterior mods and bright orange wheels. Every now and then a car will pull up next to me and slow to my speed, I'll look over (thinking they may want to race) and they will give me the thumbs up or wave and then go on their way.

I just get in my car and drive places. Nothing eventful happens. No drama at all. Is something supposed to happen?

This. In two months, I've only had a spirited drive with an Si, and that was during the break-in period.

Next time I see you in the valley I'll make sure to rev at you

EDIT : Also...I think cops recognize that when you have a new/performance vehicle you aren't going to always obey the speed limit. I think cops are more worried about if your car can really handle the way you are driving. Of course I live in NH and most the cops around here are pretty nice. I know that more than half the time I pass a cop on the road their radar isn't even on, and I've passed speed traps doing 15+ over on my motorcycle and they didn't even make a motion to me to pull over even though they clearly had 6 or 7 other cars pulled over

Because running on a bike is easy as hell and is actually a big problem in NH

Never been stopped in my Subaru, sure it's a 2.5i but it was lowered, on wide wheels, mudflaps, etc... In my Santa Fe (yellow OEM foglights, slightly larger tires/5mm spacer/stock wheels) I was pulled over every month for some stupid ****. Only got 1 speeding 3 years ago. Police in my hometown aren't that great though. They don't handle domestic issues well. But, they're praised for the amount of income they bring in and how easy it is to make 6 figures at the department because the amount of over time, details, educational programs, etc....

I understand that it's easy to outrun a cop on most bikes. However I had saddlebags and a hi-vis helmet on at the time...and I definitely would not have ran.

Oh well, I'm just glad I've never been pulled over, I wasn't even meaning to go that fast, it just so happened that I saw them, looked down and was like "oh, I'm going like 52 in a 35...whoops!"

Same here, pretty chill for me. In 10 months of owning my 2013 STI Sedan, I've only had one compliment on my car, from an older lady no less.

Pretty darn uneventful for me, I don't mind it.

I just got my STi and have not had much trouble either way yet. Even when DD'ing my Boxster I never got many people wanting to race and only got the cops attention for 2 tickets (both 7 over ).

Until 2 weekends ago I was on the tail end of a 4 hour drive on the freeway when a guy with his GF come up next to me and starts pacing me. Kinda goes, then slows. Does this a couple of times and just keeps pacing and looking over.

The fact that I had already been driving for a long time and wanted to get home aside, there was an SUV about 4-5 car length in front of me and the free way wasn't exactly clear of other cars. I have no idea where this dude expected me to race to, other then the rear bumper of said SUV. Eventually he got tired and floored it and took off.

It seems like I can't even drive to the next town without some guy trying to pull some ****. It's just kinda frustrating at this point. Car is stock-looking except for my catback and mudflaps. Iv had people follow me so far that when we stop at a light, I have to roll the window down and tell them I'm just trying to get home/to work. Most of them just smirk and speed off the light when it turns. Maybe its just my area, but sometimes I don't even get to enjoy the drive cause I gotta deal with all the idiots

The only conversations I've had with the police car related have been receiving complements for not driving like an ******* and keeping a good driving record.

On the other hand, I can't go literally anywhere, not even down the street with out becoming towards other drivers.

Holy ****, dude. This is not even NASIOC general bad...this is just weep for humanity bad.

This whole thread really. I've had plenty of decently fast and gaudy looking cars. Never had a problem with police OR other drivers. Shocking I know...but damn it's amazing how many less problems you run into when you don't regularly do stupid ****.

Oh...and at least 3/4 of these stupid stories involving guns are made up BS. Lying on the internet doesn't make you cool, kids.

The only problems I've had are getting tickets when I was clearly speeding well over the limit (in my WRX).
Otherwise, (in the WRX) I get waves from 50% of Subarus with hood scoops (nobody seems to notice me in the BRZ however).
Nobody tries to race me.
But I usually avoid eye contact with anyone in a different brand car that looks like an enthusiast (i.e. lowered, stickered, tinted, loud exhaust, HID's, booming subwoofers).
My WRX isn't super flashy though, so maybe if I tried harder in that area I would get more attention, haha.
