Default What tire size to go with for 2012 WRX? (9.5")

Hi,

I know you get this question almost every day.

but I am new to this and need help. So please bear with me.

I bought BC's Coilovers with Swift Springs. ( haven't installed them yet )

I also bought Enke RPF1 18x9.5 +38mm

Now, I now that's quite wide. The good thing is that I am not planning to lower my car too much. Maybe an 1" or so. ( I wanna avoid rubbing as much as possible )

So now

- what tire size to go with 9.5 wheels ?

- Am I gonna need to roll fenders or need spacers ?

- Finally where can I find a good deal for tires and what brand should pick ?

too many question I know. But please bear with me.

Thanx.

After doing my homework, I found out that it should be between 255/35 ( just like what ^ Vision.Dynamix said ) to 265.

so back to my other questions. should I buy them for tire rack or what?

You'll need to roll the rears at stock height with the 265's.

You might need to roll all around with either tire if you are lowered.

As far as where to buy, wherever you want. Vendors on this forum can typically provide the best customer service/easier support.

I have the same sized wheels on '12 WRX also.
I picked 245/40R18 over 255 or 265/35R18's for better DDing. I notice the tramlining, more vague steering feel and decreased turn with the wider tires. I don't track or drag.
You'll need to roll the rears. No spacers needed for our calipers.
As for the brand of tire and where to purchase, Tirerack is a good place to start.

You really couldn't go into the "wheels that fit 2011+ widebody WRX's" thread and read a little bit? All your questions are answered a million times. You being new has nothing to do with anything, it means you should search instead of posting new theads. You even said these questions have been asked 100 times, why would you ask them again?

I'd go 265's. Might as well maximize the tire you can fit. Why get 9.5" wheels if you don't get wide tires? I've run 275's on a 9.5" wheel on a Mustang.

And rolling your rears is all you need.

Try tire rack, discount tire direct, or tread depot.
