Default 09 cutch? Plz help. Work tomorrow

Hello, I been searching forums but I this is my daily driver and need some help.

2009 wrx(no mods)

Last night while driving home in any gear when I went over 3000 rpms I didn't get any pull. So today I went out to look for any shop that was open to fix this. And once I stopped I lose all acceleration and clutch Pedal went soft.
I am think that the clutch is gone.?
Any Insight would be helpful.

Thank you so much

While I don't have an answer for you, you might want to put up a little more information about the car and the symptoms. Such as modifications, mileage, and any other problems you might be having, etc...

It's a 2009 wrx no mods with 65k miles.
Once I went over 3000rpms I felt no acceleration and then not even ten minutes later from a dead stop the car would not accelerate just keep revving higher

Sounds like the clutch is done for. Were you running it hard prior to this? Excessive slipping could have overheated it.

I'm assuming it goes into gear, but it just won't move?

No not running hard last night I was on I95 going 70mph for about 20 miles and I live 15 mins from the exit and that was about 4am and the. I left my house today around 2pm and only drove stopped twice and at the second it wouldn't move at all I hoped out and had to push it to a lot.

MAybe its not the clutch. Could be your slave cylinder is shot, could also be a leaky slave cylinder line.

Second manual car and also second owner.
I know how to drive it. But I do sit in an hour of stop and go traffic a day.

Wouldn't that cause issues with engagement first? As in, it would go into gear, but not out of gear, or vice-versa?

Pretty much. If the slave was gone, he'd have no pedal, no return. If the line was leaking, it'd act more like a spongy brake pedal. Engagement, return, but really crappy.

Best way to test the clutch for free:

Get the car going, then shift into 5th (at like 20mph or so) and give it a generous amount of gas. If it starts to bog out and feel like its going to die the clutch is fine, but if the clutch starts slipping and the revs raise quickly then your clutch is done.

Thanks for the tip! That's what it was doing.

Clutch is gone, happened to mine. Check the actual clutch pedal assembly to see if it's loose, it's happens to a lot of 09s and wears on the clutch. Also the factory firewall will eventually become weak.
