Default Bugeye Fuel Recall

I was wondering if anyone in California has managed to get a dealership to perform the recall for the fuel line. Its been pretty cold lately, around 30 in the early mornings, and Ive been smelling some fuel. Has anyone successfully had the recall performed even though California isnt one of the states included? I know this is probably a dealership to dealership case but im just seeing if its commonly accepted.

Keep pushing for it... This problem still existed in the 04's. I have yet to get around to it... I just put up with it till it warms up lol.

At any rate, this topic comes up multiple times in winter. Search around and you'll find links to the actual recall paperwork. Print them off and present it to the dealership.

Well I think the recall was for those that see severe weather temperatures, even for the northeast, like teens and below.

But 86 the attitude braski!

In cold weather, certain 02/03 WRXs may have fuel line seep when starting in cold weather. Only app 5724 cars are affected by this in 16 cold weather states - Ak, Co, Io, Id, Me, Mi, Mn, Mt, Ne, ND, SD NH, NY, Vt, Wi, Wy. The repair involves replacing a segment of the fuel line. There will be a 12 year unlimited warranty extension for this particular issue for the remaining 34 states for affected vehicles. Program #WVK-21

Just call a dealership and give them your VIN and tell them it pertains to Program #WVK-21

Well ya gave attitude to a mod, I saw what I saw.

I was saying that the recall was to avoid problems at lowest temperatures than CA sees, suggesting that your fuel smell may be something else. Enjoy I club!

Ya I gave attitude to a mod who was beyond unhelpful and came into a thread and just teased like an immature kid on youtube. A mod should give some helpful advice or a point in the right direction.
