Default 2011 WRX Stage 2 Retune

Event yno Tune (Re-tune with FIC 900cc)
Location: Akuma Motorsports
2 Amboy Ave
Woodbridge, NJ 07095
Dyno: Mustang AWD 500
Tuner: John Shafer
Car: 2011 WRX
Mods: Stage 2 (DP,CB,FMIC,EBCS,FIC 900CC,CAI,DW65C)
Tuned using: Cobb AP
Weather: 40 Degrees, Cloudy
Elevation: Sea Level
Numbers: W/ Stock Injectors-282whp,289wtq
W/900cc's-305whp/334wtq

This Stage 2 WRX was previously tuned with stock injectors as shown on the graph below. During the tune we had run out of fueling to play with so we had jst recently re-tuned the car with a set of 900cc's thanks to Fuel Injector Clinic. This allowed us to add a little more fuel, boost, and timing. Check it out.

Great numbers!

At what point do you consider injectors needed/beneficial on the 2011s? I'm installing a TBE/EBCS/CAI and getting a protune in a few weeks--just curious how big of a difference the FMIC/pump make.

Thanks.

We generally see injectors maxed out once the car has been modified with full bolt ons including a fuel pump.
Once you start adding more modifications to add power you need an intercooler to keep that air charge cool enough to run efficiently with the rest of you bolt ons. The stock intercooler is just not efficient enough to keep up with a full bolt on car.

If you have any more questions shoot us a line at (732)-326-0090.

So were the only adjustments fuel related or were other changes made? The gains are really good though.

You can see that they added 1.5lbs of peak boost. Probably other changes as well I would assume.

Those are great numbers for a stage 2 setup on pump on your dyno.

Right, but how much torque? That's what they're rated by.

It reads low but if u made 350wtq with just a tbe u def entered something wrong on vd cause that's impossible

nope, just entered the log like i always do, put in tire size and the 350 lbs of me and the other guy and thats it. i tuned it to 20psi tapering up top a bit to 15ish. didnt mess with the timing too much and left avcs alone. i did read the 2012 wrx's put a bit more down and the turbo spooled faster. im used to tuning 02-07 vehicles but this was the result on a friends 2012 and figured i would ask
