So I need some opinions. I'm doing a full 07 STi driveline swap into a 02 bugeye, built motor, roated kit, the works. I have a set of STi seats and door cards ready to go in but I feel like the STi blue seat swap has been played out too many times..... but then again it looks great.
BTW, the car is WRB option 1; STi seats, STi door cards, gray carpet and black allweather mats or option 2; Black 05 WRX back seats, black door cards, gray carpet, black allweather mats and have the STi seats recovered in black to match the back seats go |

idk, I agree with the popular swap but it's popular for a reason.
With the wrb as your exterior, just go for option 1. It looks great and I'm sure you'd be happy with it. |

yes it does, especially when its immaculate.
I spent about 6 hours taking the interior part and cleaning it, used a few packs of cleaning wipes and a package of q-tips and at least 2 hours with a shop vac. ha im slightly ocd. im doing an exterior restore now, keep an eye out for a thread later on with my 6 week scrub down haha |

i like a blue interior almost as much as a red interior.
IMO, in order of coolness: Red and Black leather Red synthetics Black leather Blue synthetics Blue Leather Clean OEM/Gray/Black Clean white/khaki/leather/creme Stripped interior with racing seat Dirty OEM(what i have. can be cool on a ratrod like that highway star dude's from florida.) |

You really can't go wrong with either. I had black 05 interior in my bugeye and I loved it but I think I would've went with the blue STI interior if that were an option.

i say do the blue especially with wrb, black suits the other colors the best but it gets boring after a while.

As much as I like my black interior, the blue seats go great with WRB. I say go with STi seats, if you don't like it, it shouldn't be to hard to swap with a WRX owner for black seats.
Plus the STi seats are a lot nicer than the black WRX ones, material wise. |

I have a silver 02 bugeye with a black 04 interior swap. I would much prefer the STI interior. I think the blue is what its all about . I would trade in a minute. Sounds to me like you are all set up

some may like the sti but it was kinda bright for my taste so i just got the evo8 recaros matched pretty well with the bugeye doorcards / pattern. ![]() |

ya the blue sti seats look great in wrb cars but the blue carpet has to go. I swapped to all black 05 seats in my 04 sti when it was a DD and loved it. no carpet or rear interior now tho

I think you made a good choice. I also added the black/blue interior to my bugeye but I also went a step further: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1845661

I bought most if from someone on here that had extra. The major issue with buying from unknown sources is that there is risk that you may get fake stuff. I have been thinking about redoing a couple of things and I plan on contacting JPM Coachworks for raw material and for them to do a couple of things, like roof vent trim and visors.

mine a 03 wrb wagon. after 180k miles steering wheel and driver seat were worn. and hated speedo in middle of cluster from the day I bought the car. and my opinion had enough of blue seats.
now have jdm v7 steer wheel and cluster, ahhhh tach in the middle. and swapped in an 05 wrx interior door cards, front/back seats and rear sides. interior spray painted carpet, a/b pillers, back sides, seat belt retractors and back floor. have black Sti floormats. all black interior except for the seatbelts. someday i'll paint the headliner. Like a new car. |

I wonder how easy it would be to just buy a salvage/wrecked STi and just pick out what you want.
