Default Good shop in CT for maintenance work

My 2006 wrx is getting close to the 100,000 mile mark and I'm going to need to do the timing belt, tensioner, pullies, etc. soon. Can anyone recommend a shop in CT that has done good work on their subaru? I'm in West Hartford. Thanks.

EFI is up in that area, great guys and great service.

If you were looking to travel to NJ for any reason, we are here and have great prices on our major maintenances.

Thanks Mike. It looks like your shop is about 2.5 hours from me. If I were to bring it by in the morning one day, is it possible to get this type of maintenance work finished in a day or would I need to leave it for a few?

Haven't heard of ECS before. Just checked them out and they're very close. Seems like they have good pricing too.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I know the folks at ECS and The Shop. There used to be another place on Westport Ave Norwalk but i forgot the name.
Pruven is out in Milford as well but I hear the owner Dan has had a few bad employees over the recent years. I hope their shop is back to standard and doing well again.

QS motorsport/RallyRentUSA should be able to do work too. They used to work out of the Stamford industrial park area back in the day.

If your are planning to mod your car, stuffs like tbe, turbo upgrade, tune, etc.... bring it to EFI Logics. They're located in Bethel CT. About 40 min from norwalk. Great reputation. No funny games... I can vouch for them and I'm pretty sure lot of people here would do the same.
But If you're just trying to do simple maintenance stuff, you can bring it to any experienced mechanic.

Good luck.

I just had my brakes, rotors, brake lines, etc replaced. I didn't bring my car to a performance shop or a Subaru dealer tho.
Any shop can with a good technician can do it. But when it comes to modding my car, EFi Logics hands down.

If you just need regular maintenance done, any reputable shop can do that. However, performance shops also do regular maintenance work.

EFI Logics is very well known and trusted. ECS is another good one. As others have mentioned, AZP is also great but they're not near CT.

Call ahead and get a price over the phone. Make sure to ask what the TOTAL cost would be (parts, labor, tax).

I took my prior vehicle to a known Subaru performance shop in CT to have my clutch replaced. I knew the owner of the performance shop (or thought I did) and mentioned that a local shop quoted me $400 to do it, and the owner told me he'd do it for about $300. I agreed to it, dropped my car off, work was done, and I came back to pick it up. The bill was $600. Wait what... how could that be? I brought it up to the owner and reminded him that he said he would do it for $300. He said the price he gave me was for parts only, then another $100 for labor, another $100 for fluid, another $100 for tax. I made a scene, told him he's trying to scam me, and instead of driving an hour to the shop and paying $600 I could have went to a shop 10 minutes from home and paid $400.

I used to give that shop good reviews, now I don't recommend them to anyone, but never mention they're name either.

We can definitely get you in and out in one day. Sorry I missed replying earlier to this. While any shop can do maintenance, it is the care with which it is done that sometimes matters. We may not be the best price or the closest we will care for it as if it were our own car. We have some nice race seats and simulator in the waiting room and wifi as well.

I keep hearing good things about efi. Though my tuner is literally about 35 40 min away from me in NYC to NJ, maybe I should see what efi is all about and take the trip out there when I get my STi hatch (hopefully soon, this damn financial wait is killing me lol)
