It's RoadRally time again! Here is the 2013 schedule. Mark your calendars now so you don't miss any of them.

2013 Texas Region Championship Rally Series
04/20/13 Tulip Time Rally......Denton County..Lanz
07/13/13 Clear Blue Sky Rally..Collin County..Witt
08/17/13 DFW Map Rally.........TBA............Poulos
10/26/13 Great Pumpkin Rally...Paris, Texas...Millers
12/07/13 Children's Book Run...North Texas....Lanz

If you don't know what a RoadRally is, it's a fun drive in the country, with a bit of competition involved, a little different each time.

Any street-legal vehicle may enter, and no special equipment or experience is required. Speed in not a factor. At least two people old enough to read must be in each car.

The Tulip Time Rally in April does require a watch or clock with a second hand. Anyone with TSD rally experience must enter in Master Class.

Trophies are given in three classes for each event. There are also awards for the year-long championship. You do not have to be an SCCA member to win either.

Dang. I so rarely can get pictures posted on here. Please envision a picture of the mechanical cats from Voltron assembled to form their giant super robot. The picture was both stunning and symbolic. You'll have to take my word for it...

I'm in the same boat and just did the exact same. We use to watch Bullrun on Speed Channel and always wanted to do it. I believe this will satisfy our itch. Wont make it to the 4/20 one, however I bet we will be in all the others. Cant wait!!! I should be stage 2 by then, maybe even stage 3

Any resemblance to Bullrun and a real rally of any sort whether it be a rigorous TSD, a simple sign hunt or even a balls to the wall performance rally, is only in the mind of the beholder. Things like Bullrun make it very hard for us to organize real events without trouble from the police.

Really? The Bullrun with Bill Goldburg? They were pretty strict on doing the speed limits and so forth. I wasn't refering to the "fancy pant show off rally" filled with rich dingle berrys that release a lash of idocracy on the roads.

That is in no way my plans or my wifes, to try and tear butt all over the place.

Good! Go to http://msreg.us/TTR13msr and follow directions, and you can sign up. It takes 3 cars to make a Team, and so far only one has signed up. I was out on course today, in the rain, and you will really enjoy the roads, I think. I know I did.
