Default Mounting Rally innovations bar wrx 2012

I have a rally innovations bar that I have installed on my 2012 wrx. The mounting on the license plate holes have been an issue for me. I tried drilling a hole and threading a bolt through but they are not staying. I just want it to be more secure. I looked and couldn't find a a thread. So if there is one point me in that direction. Thanks.

get the greenlee drill and taps in one. Use the 1/4 20 drill and tap. Make your holes straight through at the license plate holes through the metal support. Then get some 2"+ 1/4 20 bolts with locks and thread straight through. Mine can support a grown man standing on it now.
