Default My New Wrx: Yeah Baby, Yeah!

Fellow I-Clubbers--

I would like to announce that as of this weekend, I am the proud owner of a brand new 2003 WRX.

This baby is fully loaded! Yeah I went a little crazy but it is my first new car and I figured I should get exactly what I want:

WORLD RALLY PEARL BLUE
5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION
REAR SPOILER WING
OEM GROUND EFFECTS KIT
AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM
ARMREST EXTENSION
CARBON FIBER PATTERNED TRIM
CARBON FIBER PARKING BREAK HANDLE (One of three people who ever bought this over priced option )

Performance Group 1
-Gauge, Turbo Boost
-OShifter, Short Throw
-Shift Knob, Titanium

Performance Group 2
-Mirror, Auto Day/Night
-Security System Upgrade Kit

Premium Sound Package 1
-Speakers, Upgraded
-Subwoofer/Amplifier
KC and the Sunshine Band never sounded so good!

Performance Gauge Pack
-Manifold Vacuum Gauge
-Oil Temperature Gauge
-Volt Gauge (Now before you performance guys start flaming me, I got the guage pack more for fun than function. I can always change the guages out later )

17" PRODRIVE P1 GOLD RIMS & KUHOMO ALL SEASON HiPerf TIRES
MORETTE STYLE HEAD LAMPS
WHITELINE FRONT & REAR STRUT BRACES

Special thanks to all the good folks at Prestige Automotive in Asheville North Carolina for putting this together for me and gave me a great finance rate. Call them at: 888 854 4293

Now my crotch is a little sore cuz I had to give up my nutz to finance this puppy, but it was worth it to me! My old car was a total trash bucket with wheels.

So I bid you a fond: BLING BLING! <drives off into sunset>

Regards,

mRgUnN

PS I will be a good boy and drive safe so insurance rates will not go up!

Default Super Detailing Complete!

Dear Scooby Friends:

I have some time on my hands waiting for the boys to show up for a night out on the town, so I thought I would give everyone the 1300 mile report.

The car has 1350 miles on it. It still has that new car smell, god how I love that! I have been keeping her clean and bathed regularly. Today I decided to super detail her, I washed and waxed her, and cleaned all surfaces on the interior. I used Muguirers car detergent, Zymoil Wax, Turtle Wax bug and tar remover, Windex and newspaper, and put on RainX. Earlier I had used Son Of A Gun on the rubber weather stripping.

Anyway while cleaning I noticed some things, for one I have several nasty paint chips and one scratch that I did myself. I am not happy with the chipping seems the paint job should be a little more robust. I do not go careening down dirt roads afterall.

Also I have a lot of either bug guts or sap on the hood, had to use bug remover but it is hard to see, so I did not get it all .

However since I cleaned her up she is very BLING!

Over all I must say I still love driving my scooby, especially now that she is all broken in.

I still need to work on my 1 first gear launch, and I still seem to thud the clutch from time to time when I don't shift her right.

Two other annoyances are the water spots on the windows caused by moisture on the weather stripping.

The other is the Morrettes are not adjusted correctly. They are ok, but are not quite right, I need to get the instructions, they were missing when I took delivery. Anyone got any tips on adjusting Morrettes?

Anyway that is enough prattling on my part.

Take care everyone.

Regards,

mRgUnN

PS As soon as I get a digital camera I will post some pictures!

Default Re: Super Detailing Complete!

Congrats on the car. Sounds like you got every single option available from the dealer!

I suggest Zaino Bros. for your detailing needs. Absolute BEST wax I've ever used and the best thing is it lasts 4-6 months.

Also, with the morettes, the instructions don't tell you how to adjust the headlights. If they are the LHD model (USDM), the passenger side beam will be slightly higher than the drivers side. Apparently, they come preadjusted from the factory that way given that signs are on the right side here.

Best regards,
-James-
